Rookie Tournament Information

The Rookie Tournament is hosted on campus each semester, offering an on-campus tournament competition in public speaking for CMST 131 (Public Speaking) students and debate for CMST 255 (Argumentation and Debate) students. The tournament is organized and run by the Speech and Debate team with help from the Teaching Assistants and faculty members in CMST. The tournament functions as a very important recruiting tool for the team as well as a service to both the department and the University, so all members of the team are expected to work at the Rookie Tournament each semester as part of their class responsibilities.
